Why do they even let people know theat they may be eligible for merit time? Why dont they just tell people they will have to do 85% of their time. Instead of getting people hopes up BY saying maybe 65% if they complete certain programs and stay out of trouble. Noone ever gets it...or atleast its very rare that they do

I understand you may be facing a frustrating situation, but some do get it. Some make it at their first board-not a lot, but some even here on PTO. Since the switch to some flat sentences, which require 85% to be served, I thinlk the Parole Boards are, to some extent, using that as permission to hold people till they get near 85%. That is only my opinion. But it doesn't happen all the time.
