:hee: Hello, My fiance just got to Chuckawalla a few days ago. He is in desperate need of some things. I was just wondering what is quicker, sending a quarterly package or a special package? If they both take the same amount of time, how long do the packages take to get to them? Do they allow everything thats in the catalogs, or is there some things they are not allowed to have? any insight to the process of sending a package would be helpful.
Thanks a bunch! :hee:

Special packages and regular quarterly packages take the same amount of time. SPO are for electronics and stuff, the other is for food and hygiene. I think that there is some hygiene in the SPO catalogue as well.

Have him get a catalog and pick the items he wants. My husband will give me a list of item #'s and quantities. Then you can go on line and place the order. It gets there fairly quickly, but at my husband's spot, package lists are a couple of weeks behind.

My husband likes doing both packages at the same time. He said going down to R&R is a pain, and he wants to limit the number of times he has to go thru the process.

Great! thanks! which company do you use ? Does it really make any differance ? I mean is one company better than another for any reason? I dont mean to be a pain, its just that with him gone, moneys tight and I just want to make sure Im getting the most for my $$$$ . which company do you prefer and if you could tell me which is better amazon or barnes and noble for books, that would be a help too!
thanks for your help, you rock!

Ive used several of the different package companies and i like union supply and access the best i think. they always get everything i order to my fiance and they ship quickly, have a good variety of brand name products for reasonable prices. my fiance gets his packages within about 10 days of me ordering it. sometimes it takes longer, but they are usually pretty quick. my fiance gets a catalog and picks out what he needs and then e makes a list and either sends it or tells me on the phone so i can order it online.

i use amazon all the time, i order used books for my fiance, and find ones that are in good or very good condition....ive found many for under a dollar. the shipping is the expensive part, but you can get great deals. same rules as reception, paperback books only that are smaller than 8 1/2" by 11". good luck!
