well, i haven't posted in a while...but i've been here reading in the shadows. i took the four hour drive and went and saw tony this past sunday. i have a pic...but it's not the greatest. i think i'll wait till next time and post a pic :) anyway, visit is from 8:30 till 3:00...which is very kewl. the counslor that gave me directions told me to go west instead of east on one of the thruways...so i ended up getting there at 9:00. That sucked...drove an extra forty five minutes and cut our visit down by over a half hour because she gave me the wrong directions. Anyway, the visit was awesome! It was my first time seeing anyone in prison besides at county, so i had no idea what to expect. But, it wasn't bad at all. We were inside till noon, then we were able to go outside for the last three hours...and smoke! It was his first visit since he was transferred there months ago. So, neither one of us really knew what to expect and we were both pretty nervous. But, God, am I glad I went. Time flew. I drove there on only a couple hours sleep and pretty much just sat there and listened to his stories while he pointed out his different friends. He looked great :) The good bye went entirely too fast. It's like...you're there for six hours and the *poof* it's over and you gotta drive over four hours to get home. And, nothing is more depressing than fifty women crying as they walk out to their cars. But, it was worth it. I hope to get out there again with in the next month or two. God, I miss him. So, i guess my story isn't real exciting...but I just had to share my joy that i was able to see tony, hug him, kiss him...just wish i could have brought him back with me. But, that day will come :)

Nicky,
Glad you got to see your man. I'm sure you're still on cloud 9. I know what you mean about the goodbyes being quick and the women crying walking to their cars. I have to fly to see Gino so I was teary the whole flight home. Being able to relive the visit in your mind help get you through to the next visit. Take care.

NICKY-SO GLAD YOU HAD A GREAT VISIT WITH TONY- LIKE THEY SAY "TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN" (EVEN IF IT IS INSIDE A PRISON VISITING ROOM) AND THOSE HOURS SEEM LIKE SECONDS--

SOMETIMES I THINK ALL OF THE CRYING WOMEN ON THEIR WAY OUT ( INCLUDING ME) SHOULD STOP AND HAVE A GROUP HUG--

I'm so glad your visit went well and I'll bet Tony loved it too. Don't be concerned about your story being nothing exciting, all of us here know how special those visits are. I know what you mean about 50 crying women, it's heartbreaking, isn't it? I'm so happy for you and now you've got the next visit to look forward to.

I have to say my one visit lasted 9 hours and felt like years! It was amazing how slow the time went for us!! We were still too high after the visit to be sad on the way home, luckily!
I am so happy about all these visits everyone is having!
Good for you and your man, Nicky!
