I am 33 years old and live in Southern Illinois. I was sentenced 15 days ago to 6 months at a FPC. They are recommending I go to Pekin. Could someone give me information on the facility. What a typical day is like, any college classes, exercise programs, etc???? Any information would help me. I am scared to death, never been in trouble before, also leaving a husband and 2 children behind ages 12 and 10.

I have not received my letter yet on my surrender date and to make sure that the BOP went with the judge's recommendation on the facility.

sorry to hear about your new "adventure" !!

There is nothing to be scared about.. camp time is very easy I did 27 mos ( total with HWH time ) it reminded me of when as a kid my parents used to send me to sleep away camp every summer only the BOP has more ammenitys, think of it as kind of an extended vacation with no kids running around !

I used the time to better my self...read more books then I ever have, worked out, ran the track, shot pool, took acouple of corraspondance courses, and got some much needed R&R on top of that met some very interesting people
