ok, my dear one was transfered from the county jail -- I called to reserve a visit and they told me he was no longer in their custody. Thank goodness I was able to see him last night.
What I'm wondering is, how long will it be till I know where he is? how to find out? I'm pretty sure he's going to Donovan, but you never know. I want to start writing him immediately.
I feel so weird now. Knowing that I'm not going to be able to talk to him for awhile is overwhelming. I have all sorts of mixed emotions.

If you are in San Diego, he most likely is in Donovan. Was he at George Baily? If not, that might be where he is at right now. They usually get transfered there for a few days before going to Donovan. I would call or look on the website. If he is at Donovan, you will just have to wait until he writes you and gives you all the information. But, call George Baily first if that is not where he was at.

yes, he was at George Bailey awaiting to get transfered.
He's no longer in their custody -- I've checked.
Thanks. I suppose there's really not much that I can do. I want to write him a.s.a.p.

Unfortunately - there isn't much you can do until you get that first letter from him. Hang tight, it will come soon. The good news is that outgoing mail from prison is faster then incoming.

You might get info from inmate locator, but likely not for about a week. By then you should have a letter.

You can call the mail room and see if they can give you his info. Most likely he is on yard 4 but he could be in mod 16,17,18,19 or 20. So, if you call they should be able to tell you. (619) 661-6500

Cool! Sounds like you might get a letter to him before he gets one to you! When you write him tell him to send you a signed visitor questionaire.
