I have a friend who in jci and I would like to know if they are still on lockdown and if anyone knows when this will all be over.
Do you think they will be off of lockdown by monday ?

There is no way of telling. Because the incident involved CO's getting injured and of course the guard getting killed last summer at MHC in the same compound, the DOC tends to get real nasty to send a message. Mine is at MCIJ and word over there is that JCI is still on lockdown. You may want to call the prison and ask..although they probably will not tell you how long the lockdown will last, they mayll you whether or not the facility is on lockdown or if they are having visits.

I talked to them yesterday afternoon (Friday) and they are still on lockdown and the lady said it will probably 'be awhile'. I am sure they are doing their cell searches and, like you said, the incident involved a CO so they are in no hurry. One bad apple spoils the whole bunch sort of thing for our guys...they all suffer because of the acts of a few that don't give a damn! I can't wait until my guy gets moved out of there! He's been there waaaaay toooo long!

Isnt that always the case though? When Spicknall got aphyxiated 3 weeks ago, you didnt hear about any lockdowns then? But when its a CO, the lockdown could last for weeks on end.

Thanks for the help .I talked to a guy who works in jessup and he said it could take up to a month. I did get a letter from my friend so I guess now I jsut have to wait it out. if any of you want to talk feel free to pm me.
I am so scard this is the first time I have ever had to deal with anything like this.
