Well, we're up for transfer to a lesser security & Phoenix may be as close to home as he can get. Does anyone know anything about the FCI out there? Can you tell me about any experiences, good or bad? I don't really care where he goes, it's a plane trip no matter which way you slice it. I'm just not sure he's gonna like it - he doesn't do well w/the heat, lol.

My ex was transfered from county in Las Vegas to Florence Correctional Center in Nov. He will be transfered again by the marshals very soon, most likely Phoenix. He says Florence isnt bad. As soon as he gets to Phoenix I'll let you know. Also I find surfing the web gives me alot of info.

I did 2 1/2 yrs there. If he can not stand the heat then fci phoenix is not for him. There is next to no air conditioning there. The guards are all right. If you treat them with respect you get it back. They have leather classes, ceramic classes, and several other types. I had a decent time there no major troubles. Just alot of bull crap on prison clicks. ie skin heads,pisas,nortenos,etc etc. As long as he keeps to himself he will have no problems.

Plus if he has a long time to do then he should check into industries. if not then he should go into CMS (facility maintence) That is where I worked the whole time. But he just might get put on landscaping and they are outside all daqy in the heat.
