View Full Version : Shu? venicespirit 01-01-2007, 12:10 PM Anyone's man at the USP? or in the Shu? kintml2u 01-01-2007, 07:26 PM USP but not the SHU. We've been thorough the SHU at every other location but have been fortunate enough not to have to deal with it at USP TH. Your guy has been in there for a while now? rottn 01-01-2007, 07:39 PM USP here too. venicespirit 01-01-2007, 10:51 PM Andrew has spent 4 out the last 5 years in the hole. However it seems as though he may have really made a mess of things now. He doesn't like to give me many details these days - probably because i sick of hearing about the trouble he is causing..... He has been to 4 other prisons before Terre Haute, all USP's - but, the visits were all contact. Never have i had the cuffed and shackeled, behind glass experience and i'm just super bummed about it. I can't believe that i am going to travel all this way and i won't even be able to hug him. He was doing okay when he was in California and getting visits regularly, but ever since they started moving him all over the place. It's like he's gone crazy or something. I guess i'm just so sad about the whole thing. Everytime i manage to aquire a bit of space and perspective about the whole thing, I am quickly reminded of the nightmare........... Anyway, just needing to vent.......... kintml2u 01-02-2007, 04:33 AM And it's great to hear you vent! I've been in the place you find yourself in! Such a discouraging place, like the incarceration isn't enough to start with! We dealt with it for about a 4-5 year period, more so then not by far! I honestly can't tell you he will be cuffed and shackled...but the glass will be separating the two of you. Just from the quick glimpses I took...the room appeared big enough for the 2 chairs and had a door to be closed behind you. The door has a big square piece of glass to see in from the main visiting room. It's gonna be hard for you, no doubt, but it should still do the both of you good! Until he makes the choice to start doing his time differently, things will not change. And as with anything...we can share our thoughts, give our love, walk the line...but in the end he is the one living within the walls, he is the one who needs to make that change. It can be done...so don't give up! Hopefully this visit does the both of you good and you walk away with some positive thoughts to carry you on with! While in Terre Haute...the hotel I suggested or any right in that circle, be sure to take a walk down to Steak and Shake! Good food...but most importantly look for a waitress named Markie...she'll put a smile on your face for sure! Vent anytime...it hurts worse to hold it in! venicespirit 01-02-2007, 10:11 AM Thanks for your responses - I appreciate the support, Kintml2u. I find often that some of the women/girls on here, really don't seem to get the severity of the situations their in. And all that they will be giving up! Anyway that's not really here nor there. It's just been such a long haul already and there's still so much time left. Anyway, i am going to confirm with his counselor tomorrow to make sure that nothing else has gone awry. I didn't ask before, but is your man still there? How much time do you have left? kintml2u 01-02-2007, 05:12 PM I just sent you a rambling pm but... :p We have about 5 1/2 years to go. Been doing this since 9-1997 but part didn't count towards feds as he was in state for a vop. Currently, not for much longer, he is still a resident of USP Terre Haute. I keep saying I'm gonna miss that place and there is a lot of seriousness behind it! sharonno1 01-03-2007, 04:15 AM i have a friend in usp summersong 10-09-2007, 03:08 AM my fiance' Shawn, is in the SHU at terre haute, he got transfered from pennsylvania about a month ago..........he has been in the hole since 2005 but hopefully his case will break soon and he will be out of the SHU...we are tryiing to get married soon, so i hope there is no hassel with that nursema 10-10-2007, 05:03 AM My man is at USP too!!
