I have managed to find some rather cheap flights from London to San Francisco and then connecting to Crescent City SO I’m 99% sure I will be visiting for the Thanksgiving week.

Just wondering if anyone else was going and if I’m right in saying its 3 day visits even in the SHU???? I was told it would be 28,29 and 30th of November.

Cant wait not to long now, but I’m already counting down the days :D :D :D

Hey Phil well my flight with United Airlines (Including my domestic which is normally £150.00) is £450.00. I have stopped going out, cut down on smoking AND gone on a diet so bringing food to work, thats how I afford to see my hubbie LOL
Oh and just tell everyone you dont do Birthday presents you only except money!!!!! (kidding)

I'm on my way up to Crescent City in two weeks...Hooray! Get to see my boy! and my daughter-in-law! I'll have to catch you in SF Joanna....I expect to see your flight info via PM any day now!!!!!!!!!!

I think this flight takes me right into Crescent City so I will only stop off in the airport for an hour or so in San Fran BUT I will let you know ASAP.

Joanna can you tell me where you stay in Crescent City please.His Mom and I are planning a visit next month providing she gets approved and I will need a place to stay the night before when I go pick him up when he gets released.He should be getting out within about 8 months or sooner!

Well I stay at the Best Value Inn, make sure you tell them that your visiting at the prison because they give you a discount on the room.

Cindy that would be great, Im going up for the last weekend because as far as I know its a 3 day visit, so we get the extra Friday.

I just got back from Crescent City - son and daughter-in-law both doing really well (amen) - and asked about the Thanksgiving holiday. The CO in visiting told me that it is scheduled to be a FOUR day visiting period! She said that is what's scheduled now, and will only change if the state sends them a directive to change it to three. Wow. By the way, one of the older motels up there has just changed over to being an EconoLodge...so you might check that for prices as well as Best Value.
(I tied a yellow ribbon around my rear license plate - since there is no antenna to tie it to - but didn't see any others in the parking lot.)

Jane I'm glad you had a good visit! I dont know if they will do a 4 day visit for SHU inmates, god I hope so, flying for 20 hours in 4 days is a killer, that extra visit will make my year!!!!!
