I was wondering, I have a family member that is in another facility that wants me to come visit. Will this affect my visitation status with my guy?

I noticed on the form my family member sent that it asks if I am visiting or corresponding with another inmate at another facility. So does this information cross reference????

Any information is appreciated.

Gosh, I don't know, but it sounds like it might be a problem.
Hope someone comes along that knows the answer...

i think it depends on who the family member is whether it is a brother sister or someone close like that. it also depends on whether or not the family member is male or female. for visiting they really don't recognize cousins

This is gonna suck but NO you can not be on two inmate's lists, even if they are at different facilities. I don't understand it but that's the way it is leave it up to oklahoma to make it as difficult as possible. You would risk your visitations with your guy if you visited your family member.

it is allowed it just depends on where he/she is at and what the relationship with them is.
it is not a definate NO!!!

my son met someone in Oklahoma county jail (by kite).
I began writing her 2 yrs ago and was denied visits while BOTH of them were in the same facility. When she was moved, I was again denied. This Fall I completed another visitation request - and added remarks on it that THEY don't even know each other - and that she has nobody else who will visit her. They approved it.
(good luck with yours,,,, I do know that the 2 visitors approved - family or not - can't have 2 separate visits weekly where we go - so we have to have make plans and all)

Onry's right, it depends on where they're in the system. In AZ was approved for visitation for state and federal (for a male and female inmate) ,but then again this is OK. I am still learning my way around the OK state correctional system, so I would suggest you call both facilities to find out what they have to say. FYI they have procedures regarding visitation policies on the OK DOC website, so I would research there and follow up with a phone call.
