Here is a link to a website where you can order a book and DVD about the history and demolition of the castle at the old USDB. Don Olson is the author and he encountered alot of resistance in his efforts to write this book and one high ranking influencial member of the 705th MP Battalion is still tring to keep people from buying it. Show your support by buying a copy and help the one person in the entire world who has ever bothered to write about this subject.
I tried to post the link but it says I have to have a minimum of 25 posts to do so. That is one of the dumber functions I've seen on a message board. Lets try it this way:

Resistance???
What he got was an offer to get the story right. The book is full of inaccuracies that could have been avoided had he gone through proper channels.
If you buy this book, what you will have is a book that barely touches the true history and story of the USDB. I have it, I have read it, and I speak from that perspective. I have also had conversations eith Mr. Olson. So before you try to discredit me, just think about what I have said.

Mr. Olsen did attempt to go through proper channels and he was met with nothing but resistance. Who specifically "offered to get the story straight"? Your suggestion that Mr. Olsen refused assistance in verifying facts for a literary project he was compiling are absurd. Mr. Olsen continues to research and request verification for the facts presented in his book and will update them with each reprinted edition.
The fact remains that the military didn't want the book published and offered only resistance. Many people questioned by Mr. Olsen told him that they were specifically prohibited from answering his questions. There is no need to discredit you InfoSec, you do a good enough job on your own.

A-Z, the 25 post rule, I think, is to prevent spam and offers from any people offering stuff. the site is about support and this would keep the clutter down. you have to be pretty interested to post 25 times. that is just my thought, im not a moderator.
Infosec, are you somehow involved with the USDB? I believe it has been said on here before that it is against the USDB rules for employees, soldiers, etc.. to contact the former inmates or inmates family members.

Was there for 4 years ... 76775 ... :)
Spent my whole time in the old 'Castle' ... as when I was there they were trying to shut down the TU. The only reason the new facility got built was because of the Pro Bono work of an attorney named Allison Rutenburg who work hard to expose the conditions in the 'Castle' for what they were.
