Well, I just sent off the visiting app. to see my boyfriend who is at Chino in CA. But I am really anxious that I won't get approved. He is in for a parole violation and a pending case for a domestic violence charge, and I am the victim in the case. I don't want him to be charged, but in CA I have no say in the matter. I know in CA they can deny your visitation if you are the victim. Am I hoping against hope? Do any of you think it is possible that I'll get approved? I REALLY want to see him, and I can't imagine going a whole year without seeing his face or hugging him. Thanks.

Hi xraystar,
Since you had some specific visitation questions for California and Chino in particular, I have moved this thread to the California forum on PTO so your post will have the opportunity to get more specific responses and the best answers to your questions, and won’t get lost in the busy Visitation forum... I’ve found they often get more and better answers there, AND the information will be here to help others in the future, too. :)
You also might want to thumb thru the California forum to see if some of your questions have already been answered in the past... the direct link to the forum is here:

Hope you find the info you're looking for and good luck! :)

Xray hey, well yeah you should be approved no matter what, as long as u have nothing that they mark off bad. I think the only think you wouldnt be allowed to get would be conjugal visits becasue it was a domestic violence sentence, and they dont allow that. But yeah you'll get approved, dont worry, now if he didnt want you thier that would be the different story, then they'd deny it, but if not, your aight. ktc

Hey xraystar, as far as you getting approved for a visit, its really up in the air.Since Chino prison is considered a reception center your boyfriend will only get behind glass visits. There is no mainline there , its simply a place they keep them until its been determined which prison he'll go to. The only way he can get regular face to face visits there is if he is part of the PWC which is the perminant workers crew, and has a job which i have to tell you is hard to do there but possible. The visits there are thurs-sun 9amto 11 or 1pm to 3pm. I know all of this because my husband just left Chino on a parole violation, and is now at Ironwood in Blythe. We got nothing but behind glass visits for the 3 months he was there until he finally got transferred. If you're the victim of the domestic abuse I could see them denying you though you never know, they MIGHT not even take it into consideration. Anyhow, hope you do get approved, and all goes well. Take care and God bless

Yeah there's contact there. Me and my mom brought lunch in and ate with my brother.
Or maybe things changed 9 years later?
