I was wandering if there are any females (or males who know) what I should expect. I am a female and looking at 32-37 months in a federal prison. It was 25-27 for "felony possession of a firearm", but since I have four priors (Possesion with intent, possession, bad checks and forgery) that knocks me up a level or something so I now am facing the 32-37. I have really changed my life since I got out of State prison 6 yrs ago and just got careless. My husband has a "Conceal Carry" permit, so I assumed it was ok to be around a gun. I never touched it or anything but I know now not to assume anymore. I am really scared and just want to know what to expect. If anyone has any info about visitation, what the difference between a administrative, camp, min, med, and max security. What level I might be at and any info at all about everything I would very much appreciate it.

Talk to your lawyer. She or he should be able to tell you what to expect sentence-wise. This is only a guess on my part but a felon in possession of a firearms charge is probably going to be pretty nasty, level wise. Once you know the level of institution they're likely to assign you to, you'll be better able to learn the rest of what you want to know about visitation, etc.

lil one.

I spent 16 months at FPC Alderson, in WV. If you have any questions regarding this specific camp, pm me and I will be happy to answer them for you. Good luck!
