hello all iam looking at a fairly long term and i was looking at carswell and bryan carswell scares me to death ! heard some horror stories ,so if anyone can help with alternate places to request or any curent infor on carswell or bryan would be gratefull! i have never been in this position and iam very scarred, as iam a 59yr old lady with some health isssues! thnks gypsyjaq

My wife and I are going throguh some of the same that you are right now.
She has been sentenced to 4 years which she will do 34 months at Bryan.
We were hoping for Carswell because it was closer to our home. Like you we have heard many horror stories. But the more we kept talking on PT and getting to listen to people who had expierenced it; they are some truths to them but most have been exagerated. By all means the health care in prison is not the best because the govt. is paying for it and they are going to get the cheapest they can. If you have a medical condition though more than likely Carswell is where you will go since it is a medical facility also. My wife'S PO told us that in his opinion that Bryan was a better facility than Carswell and he felt we would be more satisfied with it. This man is one of the most sincere people I have met in the judicial system since all this began; so I trust his opinion. I hope wherever they send you, God will go with you and keep you safe. Remember, when it seems like there is no one there, he is carrying you. Keep praying as we will pray for you.

i have requested bryan hopfully i will get it, my lawyer said that would be better for me also good luck to your wife, and stay strong! i am also trying to find out about the commisary list( up to date one) for bryan and carswell,i wont be senteced for a couple more months, i just did my plea agrmnt and got offerd from 70 to 82 mnth ,but iam going to go through the rhad progrm. so anything you can tell me about bryan will help emencly! thank u again jaq:)
