We have a member whose fiancee has been sent from Groveland to ECMC because of stomach cancer. She needs a place to stay when she visits. I know I read about someplace in town that offers overnight accomodations for family visiting prisoners. I can't find the information in a search-does anyone know?

try calling groveland, i think its called hope house but im not sure. sorry thats about all i know of it.

There use to be a HOPE HOUSE for the Western NY and the buffalo area. I am not sure what services they still offer. I hope this is still the one that I am thinking of. They would provide hospitality housing and transportation.

Contacting the American Cancer Society may help. They may have some ideas as to where she might stay...Roswell is here, and there are a few "homes" like the Kevin Guest House, too.

I was wondering why would they send the guy with stomach cancer to e.c.m.c? I am from buffalo ny. They should have sent him to roswell cancer institute. That place is one of the best cancer institutes in western ny. As a matter fact its one of the best places in the united states for cancer patients. My daughter father cousin had breast cancer and now its in remission.

Umm...I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Hope House isn't run by Sister Klimcek anymore...she was killed last year (God rest her kind soul).
