My hubby is in LARC in Lexington, OKlahoma & our state does have written visitation policies that we are to follow, but I have found the facilities also make up their own rules. We get one BRIEF hug & kiss upon entering & leaving. That's it!!!!! No touching, no grouping, hands are to be kept on the table at all times. And the list goes on & on. My best advice to you if you want to not have any problems is don't touch him & him you. I know that sucks, but at least you will be with him. And to me, that is the most important thing. Best of luck & have a blessed holiday season.

Johncat is so right. What you can get by with seems more to depend on which guards are in the room at the time and less on any certain policy. But the one thing you should be able to count on is that if you follow policy which Johncat stated above, you should not get in trouble.

Good luck on your visit.

My guy is at OSP in McAlester, I can hug and kiss him when he first gets in the room, we're allowed to hold hands the whole time but they have to be on top of the table. His little girl is not allowed to sit on his lap, and he cannot get up one time--even to go to the vending machines. But i'm sure the rules where you will be going won't be as hard-core.

Like Taylormade said, My man is at OSP in McAlester, you get one kiss/hug at the beginning and end of each visit. You can hold hands during the visit above the table. you can touch his forearms and he can touch yours, during visit, again above the table. No feet or leg touching under the table. You can bring in 15$ in quarters in a ziploc bag for the vending machines. They have color pages and crayons for lil kids but thats about it. the kids can sit by him but not in his lap. As long as you dress appropriately and dont try to even bend the rules or push the line, you'll be fine at OSP.
HOWEVER, my man has been at several facilities in the past and he says that visitation is different at each one and always depends on who's working that day. The other thing that will determine some of your visitation priveldges is his level. There are four in OK. AND his security level. Min, Med. & Max FOR example my man is level 2 at max, he gets 2 hours a week for visitation. IF he were at a medium he would get more hours per week with less restrictions.
Seriously, pm me if you want to anytime!
