Hello David and all!

I was wondering if you could tell me if they sell typewriters at Beaumont. Do you know?

You can probably call the place and ask at the front desk. They might even be willing to send you a copy of the store list?? Who knows? Tell me if they do that for you, OK?

Your right shortie ..what they charge for things is outrageous...
My friend, on death row in Texas, paid 200 dollars for the old, used, manual typewriter he has.

AG, Is your friend in federal prison? That does seem high for a typewriter.
Shortie and Soraya, Thanks for the replies. Any help is appreciated!

Yeah they are a rip off! But ya gotta survive!

I still wonder, I have had wrong answers before from these places! Thats why I usually call on different shifts to get someone elses opinion!

And thinking about the 200 for a used piece of Sh*t, they are probably recouping 100% plus of what they paid for there own old equipment! Just pulling it out of storage! LOL

After reading Sandy's post about a typewriter that was $200 I wonder how much my EJ paid for his.
I was actually surprised when he said that he was going to purchase 1. I am going to have to ask him to send me a copy of his store list. I am pretty curious as to know what they sell now. ;)

Diane..he's in the Polunsky Unit in Texas. I'm not for sure how he purchased his ..but let me ask the lady who purchased it for him ..maybe she'll have some answers. I know he purchased it while he was there.

Diane..I checked and found out that typewriters are available where my friend is ..but commisary only usually has a few to sell at a time and don't always have them available either.
Hope that helps a little....:)
