I'm so happy I could cry. My son is currently stationed in Germany with the Airforce and his leave was approved. He will be flying home tomorrow. I haven't seen him in 15 months. He wasn't allowed to come home after returning from Iraq this summer so we are going to party this weekend. His leave will be short cause they are sending him to Kuwait after the new year. I'm just so happy to have even a short visit with him though. :D

Im really happy for you. That is one great Christmas present. Enjoy your time and tell your son we all said hello. And that what he is doing makes us all proud and that he and the family are in our prayers and thoughts.

At the start of the war, you could see support from everyone. Yellow Ribbons and flags waving high. Sad to say, you don't see that anymore. I am proud of your son and let him know he is not forgotten.

That's so great. I'm so happy for you! Enjoy every minute you can with him. I too know how you feel. Both my brothers are in the Marines and have done two tours now. They both are on leave right now, until the 28th and the other until the 3rd of Jan. so I am grateful too to see them.

Well, in just a few hours I will be leaving to pick him up. I'm so tired after working my shift on no sleep. I better try and take a short nap.
