Hi, My son has been incarcarated for the past 4 and 1/2 years and will be conditionally released in March 2007, and will be on parole for the next 2 and 1/2 years. I have been trying to find him a studio apartment or furnished room in the Bronx, NY without success. We do not want him to have to go to a shelter. I've been honest about his incarcaration but no one wants to rent to a parolee. I'm willing to back him financially until he gets back on his feet. He plans to find work as soon as he gets his drivers license back; he was a tractor-trailor driver. Any ideas about how to get him a place to live ? He has to notify the Parole Dept. within the next few weeks regarding permanent housing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
