My friend is a military prisoner, housed in a BOP facility. Recently, he was under investigation and was placed in Special Housing for 8 months. He was never found guilty of anything and never received an incident report. His case manager informed him that the military did not give him credit for his abatement time for the period of time he was in Special Housing. The BOP Record's office moved his date back two months - he was supposed to go to a halfway house in March 2007, now it will be May 2007. He was told to "file" if he's not happy about it - no one at his current facility will call anyone for clarification.
Can the military withhold abatement time for time spent in the Special Housing Unit, even if there was no finding of guilt? Does anyone know? Please help!
