I just had to share this...

I have a dear friend that's a Probation/Parole Officer in this area. He used to be over the county where I live, now he's a supervisor for several counties. He's also heard me whine and complain about the delays in paperwork we've been facing with the interstate compact.

Well...this week he's in the same city as the interstate compact people - he's got a training class or something going on. He's volunteered to go to the interstate compact office and sign my hubby's paperwork - rather than waiting for it to be mailed. Since he's a supervisor, he can accept anybody for any county.

I called last night and he's supposed to be in the IC office this morning. :D

This guy used to be a CO - so once in a while, these guys do have a heart.

That's GREAT news!!!! You know, I really do think there are FAR more good c/o's and ex c/o's out there rather than bad ones.......Its too bad we don't hear about them more often!

I've read this guy's letters (about Wayne) before and I am just convinced, with those + all the other evidence, that he is an angel walking the face of the earth. :)

Yay for Monica's buddy!!! :D

I love hearing stories like that! PO's, CO's, and the rest of them are all human, even though I forget that sometimes. It's nice to hear that some really do have a heart. (probably more then some)

I was released from the federal system in November 1999 with 3 years of paper to do. I had the toughest PO imaginable.....and I thank God for her. I finished up a year ago this month, and yes there is life after prison. Just because she really CARED that I succeed, made my success that much more worthwhile. Thanks Lisa
