I posted this here because I thought some of you might have some info on this subject.

Are there any types of funding offered to ex-offenders after prison?? Scholarships, grants, any type of funding at all? My good friend just got out of prison a couple of months ago, and he's really wanting to attend a college/vocational/technical school now. Is there anything out there to help him?

BTW - We're in Kentucky.

strange as this may seem....he can get federal funding like pell grants and loans...unless he was convicted of a drug felony....call the schools financial aid office ....

Also, check with the unemployment office. They might have some information/direction for him?

I am an ex-offender who got Pell grants and local university grants to complete a Bachelor's degree. Check out the info in US department of education. You can even apply online. Peace.
