amber416 12-07-2006, 08:26 AM I just found out that Morgantown is getting email access they will have to pay for it just like there phone.I'm not to sure about it though I found out yesterday when I talked to him and just wanted all of you to know the update so you can ask your loved ones about it too.
micurn 12-11-2006, 05:25 PM Yes they do and we love it. It's cheaper than using the phone and you can write as much as you want!
KMORSE 01-07-2007, 05:56 PM Is anyone having problems with not receiving his emails. I was getting them when it first started but in the past 3 weeks, everything he sends I do not receive. He has tried everything and even talked to the CO in charge and still nothing is coming through. He receives my sent emails....
Anybody have any insight? It is VERY fustrating.
BabyBooWV 01-16-2007, 10:07 PM My man just came home from FCI Morgantown on Dec 19th 2006, I wish they would have had email then but they had just started it. It sure would have helped on the phone bills let me tell ya. I am glad that the DOC is actually attempting to make it easier on us a little bit and I mean a little bit.
jackiegeorgia 02-13-2007, 09:43 PM Do they have email priviledges if they are in the Drug program. Can you email as much as you want and can you attach pictures? WHo should I tell him to speak to to ask about this, I am so excited I can't stand it. Thanks!!:D
c07031001 05-24-2007, 10:35 AM I'm self reporting to FCI Morgantown in a few weeks. I understand they have email and I'm curious if anyone knows how much it costs per month? How long will I have to wait to get access?
Thank you!!
MMNsGirl 05-29-2007, 11:30 AM Hey c07031001,
I'm not sure how long it would take for you to access it, but from what I know it costs 5 cents per minute, and you're only allowed on in 30 minute increments. You are not allowed to conduct business through e-mail or actually in any manner. My fiancee told me that there are 16 computers and there's usually a wait for them. The good part is that we e-mail each other every single day. Sometimes 3-4 times a day. The e-mail doesn't use your phone minutes and It beats snail mail (we hardly write to each other anymore) but it can get quite costly. If you need any other information about Morgantown, please feel free to ask.
tori81 01-30-2008, 02:41 PM Does anyone know a Michael Murray at Morgantown, WV? A friend of mine on the inside is going to set us up as pen pals? Alittle concerned. Any advice?
Jet li 02-10-2008, 12:47 AM So if you e-mail your loved one can you receive an e-mail back from them and then reply back kind of like slow instant messaging or what? Looking for anyone that can answer this question and thanks in advance.
Sprightly 02-10-2008, 01:12 PM Not quite, I believe the emails from the inmates are sent at 5 minutes after the hour.
leeann1963 05-17-2008, 10:47 PM Mine emails after breakfast on the weekends and dinner every night. I recieve his messages between 730 and 800 every night. He says he usually sends them out around 530pm. I know that I sent a message at 11 one night and he flipped out because the time stamp on his end was 1 am, he thought I still wasn't sleeping. Even with a two hour delay it is cheaper than phone calls and faster than snail mail. Even the kids have email accounts so they can talk with dad anythime they want. We thanks god for email, not every facility has it.
DALLIS 11-13-2008, 10:52 PM I know how important this can be to those who have limited funds in their accounts. But I guess snail mail would require funds for stamps pad,pen etc. So I guess loved ones can be thankful.

I just looked back in my emails and it looks like my fiance's first email was about 2 weeks after he got there.
