ok, I still haven't received a letter nor a call from Darrell, but yesterday I found a visitors application form in my mailbox from him!!! I had to fill it in immediatly, that's how exited I was! I took 2 copies of it at work today (in case they 'loose' my letter) and will send it out tonight.

I hope they will approve me really soon.
SInce I come from Europe, you guys think it's a good idea to write the counselor I have to send the form to, to write him and request a special visit? should I wait until I'm approved?

And is there anybody who lives close to Terre Haute in Indiana? Or has someone in the USP in Terre Haute?

Girl I am sooo happy that you got the visitation request form in the mail yesterday!! :)

Just let the counselor know that you will be coming from Europe when you send in the form back in as a just in case.

I am not sure how far away I am from Terre Haute, IN. E-mail me his address again & I will check it out for you.

thanks Diona, it would be really cool if I would be able to stay with you for a while. I could stay with Darrell's mom, but she lives in Maryland and has to travel very far to go and visit him. I just want to visit him as often as possible when I'm over there:D

When I went to see EJ over memorial day weekend I loved being able to see him for 2 whole days. The second day I saw him both of our backs were hurting because of the "wonderful" tables we had to sit on, but we didn't care!!

just so you know... I live in the neighboring state... it is 5 hours from where I live to Terre Haute... but that's still a heck of a lot closer than Maryland!! You know you are MORE than welcome to stay here!! Keep us posted... and let me know if you need any help in getting things arranged!! :)

Wow! If so have a ball at O'hare! It's not as bad as one might think, but I haven't been there after 9/11 either! I'll have to look up Terra Haute and see where you will be! You must be getting a little excited and maybe nervous??

congrats, soraya! i hope the application process moves fast for you! i would def contact his classification officer and see if you can get a special 2 day visit! i'm sure, based on the distance you're traveling, it won't be a problem, but i'd get it all straightened out in advance! like, start working on it NOW! i'm so happy for you! *hugs*

Soraya...Wow this is great new's...I can 'feel' the excitment in the air for you!!! I'd even add, when you further discuss the specialized visit that you are staying in a hotel in the area...That may give them even more incentive to offer a longer visiting time...even though it sound's like you have a great place to stay!

wow, you guys make me even more exited then I already was!!! Yes, I am very nervous right now and I'm not even approved!! I hope they will approve me real soon. I hope to be coming over from the moment they approve me. If I get the approval in 2 weeks, I'll try to book a flight the week after. It should be easy because I don't have a job yet. So that's ok, don't need to take any days off, nor be back at a certain time

I will request a special visit for sure. I hope they will allow me to visit him 2 complete days in the weekend and I hope I will be able to visit him during the week too. gotta use my time good, right?
