Can someone please tell me if then name I put on the money order is the inmates name and number or Federal Bureau of Prisons?

I have seen people post that they do it differently...but the following has always worked for me.

I make payable to 'Inmate name, inmate number. Use the FBOP Iowa address as the payable address. In the used for box, I put the number again.

Be sure to mail money orders to the Des Moines Iowa address that can be found on www.bop.gov if you do not have it.

no..you can order them books through amazon, barnesandnoble.com and places like that, but you can't mail them packages of stuff like you would to soldiers for example...you can't mail them like items from your home or anything (other than letters, photos, magazine/newspaper clippings)..mainly you can only order books or magazine subscriptions from a distributer...if he wants something like shoes or clothing, you can send money and he can order it from commissary...they can get some decent stuff in there, i know they get timberland boots, nike shoes, art supplies (but they order it from a catalog that the prison provides), etc.
