I have dual citizenship (US and Canada), and I wondered if I married my boyfriend, then moved to Canada, would it be possible to have him extradicted to Canada? I know that's a long shot, but I just wondered if anyone knows anything about that.

I would have to look into this further but since your boyfriend is not Canadian (I am assuming this) then I don't think that you would have an easy time of it? I don't think that marriage will cancel the other requirements for him to enter Canada...?
Now are you talking about after his release? Or while he is incarcerated - to have him finish his sentence in Canada?
I would immediately say that Canada would not be willing to foot the bill for his incarceration if this is what you are thinking...
I am interested in this question as well, so I am going to start some investigation....

Yes, I was thinking could he be transferred while still incarcerated. He's been parolable for 11 years, but we are in Wisconsin which I think has surpassed even California as far as locking up the largest percentage of its citizens. I've about given up on him getting out unless we can think of some idea, such as this one.
I thought maybe if I moved there and established myself, I could petition them to transfer him. I don't think they'd hold him indefinitely as I believe they will here. It's a long shot, but I've thought about moving anyway.

The only way that I am aware that he can be moved to Canada is through the Transfer treaty. From my understanding he would have to be a citizen of the receiving country to be eligible.
