I posted this in another forum but then I thought that maybe, if I posted here that some of you guys would know someone or your loved ones might know someone. If you can possibly help out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
At church they called on all the children to go into service and do something nice for another person this holiday season instead of requesting that big present that they wanted. All the kids are collecting canned foods and I sat down with my family and my 5 year old who decided that she wanted to do this and we decided that we were going to bake cookies and treats for our servicemen and women who couldn't be with their families right now. My father is a ret. Lt. Col. in the Air Force who served in Desert Storm and Vietnam so he was really excited and even went out and helped buy the ingredients that we needed, now all we need is the names and addresses of people to send them to. I went to anyairmain.com, anysoldier.com, anymarine.com and they won't allow their soldiers to accept anything homemade so I was wondering if any PTO families would like for us to mail goodie to guys you know or your loved ones serving. So please if you know anyone overseas serving, please let us know, or PM me with an address. We have already looked into Middle Eastern host country regulations so we won't send them anything that can't get through customs. Thank you so much for your help. My daughter cannot wait to start baking!
