Now.... you all will probably be telling me to quit posting in this forum for all I have to put up in here. I often search the net for little inspirational and humorous tidbits to send to JD to keep his spirits up... particularly while he is sitting in seg....
SO.... One of the things that I have been working on lately is developing some patience (which is obviously required for coping with the situation of having a loved one in prison....)
This is a little prayer I found the other day....

PRAYER FOR PATIENCE

God, teach me to be patient,
teach me to go slow,
Teach me how to wait on You
when my way I do not know.
Teach me sweet forbearance
when things do not go right
So I remain unruffled
when others grow uptight.
Teach me how to quiet
my racing, rising heart
So I might hear the answer
You are trying to impart.
Teach me to let go, dear God,
and pray undisturbed until
My heart is filled with inner peace
and I learn to know Your will.

Another one.... this is a poem.... perfect for those of you who have a romantic love away from you....
It fights to live, to breath, to fly,
To burst to freedom, its wings to dry
Beauty and colors emblazoned see
Emerges strong, butterflies are free.
Our love continues to live, to breath,
It grows with patience, in joy and strength
Beauty and colors in your soul I see
Emerges strong and you are free.
I've waited and yearned to see these days
Sometimes discouraged but still I stayed
And though I thought love but feigned
I waited patiently it did not wane.
And now I see your joy begin
And now I see you free again
And when it seems complete to be
Our love will grow as butterflies free.
