I got a letter from my husband yesterday saying all yards at CSP LAC are on lock down because of a stabbing, Until Thanksgiving. Has Anyone else heard of this?

hi my boyfriend is there -but i have not heard anything regarding a lockdown- i will ask him if he calls tonight and see if he knows anything

hi-yes lancaster is on lockdown due to a couple of incidents but my guy said that they should be off today or tomorrow but he will call me and let me know!!! :)

Which yard did it happen at? My cousin is in C yard

My son's housing is B1-140 ... is that B yard?

Does anyone know what yard this happened in? My son is in reception so we get no phone calls or visitation right now.

My husband didnt say which yard. I am not sure if he knows which yard it happened in.
Dedicated mama, My husband is also in reception and it didnt happen on his yard (B) he said it happened on another yard. I could ask but yall know how mail runs there...
If anyone else whose men can call them can get that info let us all know whats up on the visiting until Thankgs giving and the yard that the stabbing happened on.

my boyfriend also said D yard and they found contraband in minimum yard- i also was told that even though the recording says that only certain yards/inmates (blacks) are on lockdown and all others can visit that is not the case bcuz his dad went to visit and was denied so i didnt go either and i called today and D yard and black inmates are still on lockdown so i gather as no visits yet--bcuz i was told that even though its only a certain race-the way it really works is if one doesnt get visits then no one does :(

my guy called last night and said he was told he can have visits on sunday!! hope that is the case for all! have a great holiday and rest of your week!:)

as far as i know all blacks in D yard are on lockdown status still=but that could mean that all visits are cancelled. i will find out tomorrow and can post to let you know. as far as i know if you need an appointment then you can still call on friday morning at 8am to make the appointment-but try to call right at 8am as the spots fill up quickly.

Hello to all of you! My son was transferred to lancaster on Jan 1st and he's still in reception there. Before that, he was in reception at Chino for six weeks during the riot there. I seaarch this site often looking for posts from this prison. My son is in C dorm. Does anyhone know if there is a lockdown there now? Would anyone know how long inmates are usually held in reception there? I've not have much luck with scheduling a visit. By time I connect to a person, they say the visits are already filled for that weekend. He hasn't been able to call home since November. Thank you for any info. you can pass on. Shaun's Mom

currently B-1 is on lockdown due to some medical reason..they are on quaranteen, but you can call 661-729-2000 and as soon as the recording picks up-press 1 and that takes you to the visiting information line. it wont tell you why there are no visits just that there are no visits for whatever yard is affected. currently its only B-1. reception can take from weeks to months--sometimes if inmates are transferred from county and only have a few months or so they will stay in reception, if they are there for awhile,they will see committee and get housed eventually:rolleyes: you can call his counselor if you know who that is and ask-the counselors there are pretty good.

Shaun's Mom...I do know C yard is becoming reception...maybe that is why he is still on orientation, and that must definitely be why the visits are filling up soooo fast! Lancasters plan is to eventually become all reception...and your son is on the yard where A LOT of the changes are going on. Wish I had more info for you! I wish you all the best!

MissMyBaby07....I look forward to your posts, you always have the right info. on Lancaster! I wouldn't think that my son's orientation would take too long, since this is his third time in the "tender care of the Sate of CA". He's never had any problems while in prison, WOW....Why can't he behave when he's out!! I do think that he's still in reception because of his release date next month. If I get through to his counselor, I'll let you know what he says.

Shaun's Mom - - That must be the reason why he is in Reception still. I am so happy 4 u guys! He'll see his new baby soon! I'll pray he doesn't return! But Parole must be hard too! The state needs to figure out new ways to help these guys! Such a failure of a system! But that's California!
