Does anyone know anything about CRC? My boyfriend called me today and said that he was going from Chino to CRC. I should be approved this week to see him at Chino, so does that mean I can go to CRC to see him if Chino approves me or do I need to apply again? Any info would be appreciated

My husband has been at CRC for almost 3 years. I was approved at Chino, and had no problem when he got to CRC. Visiting is a pain there, you can only visit on certain days, depending on the last 2 digits of his CDC #. You need to get there fairly early, by 6:30 am to line up in your car, be sure to have a couple of alternative outfits, and shoes. They can be finiky. All in all the visits aren't too bad, we can sneak all kinds of hugs and kisses, and the staff is generally nice. Hope this helps.

Hon, per the Title 15 your visitor approval will follow.

On page 74 of the Title 15

Section 3172.1 APPROVAL/DISAPPROVAL of PROSPECTIVE VISITORS

(g) Any visitor approved for visiting at one institution/facility shall be approved to visit the same inmate upon transfer to another institution/facility provided the visitor's approval status remains unchanged.

Here a link to CRC prison guide where you will find some answers to many questions you have now or in the future. Best wishes! :)

Thanks for answering my questions. My only problem is that I have not yet been approved to visit at Chino, I think I would have been approved for this weekend, so does that mean that I have to reapply to CRC?

I think you should reapply - ASAP. CRC is taking about 60 days to approve right now (and they aren't trying to hurry that up). I am not sure what happens if you are pending approval and they move. I suppose you could call CRC and ask. Brazier is the best one to ask, he is really nice, if you butter him up a bit. Call the general number, then inmate services, then mens visiting. They are open Wed-Sunday - and will usually answer the phone if it's during the day.
