Hey there! This is for my boy, Randy. Ya see Ron is not his real father, but he considers Randy as his son. Therefore, they call each other dad&son. It really frusterates him and he asks me and Ron questions like, "When are you coming home,Dad?":( It puts Ron almost in tears. Randy is so, well I don't know all I know is that he loves Ron very much, just as much as I do.:) As for Randy's real dad, he won't have nothing to do with him. But, Randy's so glad when it's visiting time. He gets so excited. Randy's only 7 though and I don't think he really understands the concept of prison. He just asked Ron why he was there and he answered with this,"I did something bad that I shouldn't have done and they put me in here." Now he asks me if he does something wrong if he goes where Ron is. I tell him no that you didn't hurt anyone bad enough or steal anything or do anything like that to get put there.:cuffs: An Ron explained it better to him than I think I did, so I think he understands now. He just wants him to come home and SO DOES MOM! I CAN IMAGINE HOW MUCH RANDY LOVES RON.... TALK TO HIM ABOUT THIS SITUATION... DON'T HIDE THINGS FROM HIM... YOU MAY NOT REALIZE IT, BUT 7 YEAR OLDS ARE VERY MATURE.... THEY ARE JUST LITTLE ADULTS.... THEY CAN UNDERSTAND A LOT MORE SOMETIMES THAN WE GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR..... AS LONG AS HE CAN TALK ABOUT IT AND GET IT OFF HIS CHEST, HE WILL NOT HAVE ALL THAT ANGER BUILD UP INSIDE OF HIM BECAUSE RON IS INCARCERATED.... HELP HIM THROUGH THIS AND SEE IF THERE ARE OTHERS WHO WILL BE WILLING TO HELP YOU DO THIS TOO.....

That is wonderful that Ron & Randy have such a good relationship!! It's a rare thing when another man will love another man's child. Randy will be so much better off having Ron in his life than his real father!!

Yes, it's wonderful that they have a close relationship. I hope that Billy's son thinks that we have one too. I love him like he's my own.

MICHELLE- MY DAUGHTER JACKIE (OR JACKY AS SHE HAS NOW DECIDED TO SPELL IT :) ) CONSIDERS MY RON HER DAD TOO-HE HAS BEEN A PART OF HER LIFE SINCE SHE WAS TEN MONTHS OLD-SHE IS NOW THIRTEEN- I ALSO HAVE A 9,7,AND 4 YEAR OLD WHO ARE RON'S BIOLOGICAL KIDS- ITHINK THE 7 AND 9 YEAR OLD DO UNDERSTAND PRISON-THE 4 YEAR OLD TOO TO SOME DEGREE. KIDS SOMETIMES UNDERSTAND MORE THAN WE REALIZE-- I THINK THAT IT IS GREAT AND IMPORTANT THAT YOUR RON TALKED WITH RANDY ABOUT HOW AND WHY HE GOT TO PRISON. I THINK THAT HELPS ELIMINATE SOME OF THE FEAR FACTOR.
