Can anyone give me some info on Wyoming CF in Attica? Inmate population? dorms, two man units, single units? How restricted is movement of inmates? Do they have trailer visit facilities? condition of inmate/visiting facilities? Inmate environment (harsh, more relaxed, etc. thanks

Well my bf was just transfered from Wyoming about a week agao to gowanda. Not positive on inmate population. However I can tell you it is a pretty relaxed enviroment. No trailor visits to my knowledge. Visiting works on an odd and even system the visiting room is pretty nice and relaxed. They are assigned what they call cubes and most are single but there are several that are double. They are required to travel quite aways for meals and visits etc. Their activity is restricted according to the program that they are currently attending. Hope this helps.

Personnally, I dont like Wyoming. My friend was picked on by the CO's, but ofcourse not one at a time. The punks were scared of him alone, but not together. Since he was short in stature but muscular. They really abused him until his mother had to get a lawyer and have him removed from that facility. It was quite an ordeal for him, his family and me. But Thank God he is ok now.

Dee,
I am sorry for your unfortunate situation and I'm sure there are many more like it. I am glad to hear that he is ok now. I can only imagine what that must have been like for you, as I said my bf was there however he is now someplace I deem to be much worse gowanda. SO I spend alot of time everyday praying for all of our loved ones to return home safley.

Thanks so much for the replies. Dee, I am glad your bf is out of there. eeyore, my husband just finsihed 6 months at Gowanda, I will be praying for you and your bf. Very HARSH environment. My husband was supposed to go back to Collins but they messed up somewhere and they sent him to Wyoming despite the fact that I wrote them about my handicaps and that Collins was the best place for me to be able to visit oftener because of the facility layout and because of friends in Buffalo with their own people in Collins...sigh. But he is out of Gowanda, that is a major blessing. Thanks again for posting replies. M
