Do they turn the phones off a lot at Jamestown SCC? I was talking to my husband earlier and the phone just went dead and I have not heard back from him.

Yes they do get shut off for various reasons. Sometimes it is count time, sometimes there is an incident on the yard. Sometimes I will be talking to my husband and the alarms go off, sometimes it hangs up, sometimes not. Usually they can't call right back. You'll probably have to wait until his next phone time. elizabeth... she is exactly right. once you get cut off, that's it. but those are the reasons why the phones get turned off. either yard recall, a "get-down" (alarm), or sometimes the phones just aren't working right. that happens a lot too. sometimes the phone just go down and they have to get them fixed. as for being nice at jamestown... i dunno. my hubby has been there for a year and a half and he's been doing just fine. and so have i dealing with the COs there. but i don't really know how nice you or him expect it to be considering that it is prison. maybe he just needs time to adjust. wish you well.

My husband is a CCCMS and sometimes they don't give him his meds or they give him his meds and make him miss breakfast which then makes him miss lunch since apparently if you miss breakfast you don't get lunch. This is not good for my husband since he is a diabetic. I guess this is just the way it is.

Oh noo. Well, the only thing I can think of to help with the missing breakfast or lunch issue is to make sure that he has food in his locker from canteen all the time. hopefully things will get better for him.

my step dad doesnt get his meds my mom tryed calling to see if she could get something done the lady told her he is in here you are out there and that is the way it will be so dont call again your wasteing my time.... Some of them do have a heart but there are very few of them... The phones : they usally cut them off for the yard going down or if they dont like your man they will cut it off for the simple fact they dont care who he is talking to they dont like him or if he is on the phone a lot thbey will cut it off for that reason too or if the yard is down or their is a problem....

Yeah, and they also DO listen to your phone conversations so they may cut you off if you guys are talking about something you shouldn't be. so be careful.

Dnzswfie Dnzswfie- I finally spoke to my husband...I guess the phones were broke in the gym. Hope you had a good visit. I will be seeing my husband this weekend.
