What do you get to take in when you visit?
I would be flying into Tulsa (whew, my arms will be SO tired<g>) and then going to a Muskogee hotel...then on to Taft for the visit. (I don't think Taft has any motels/hotels)
Wondering also if I can have a taxi take me to and from JDCC or do I need my own car? (had a heart attack and don't like to drive alone anymore.)
TIA

Sorry I don't have the answers for you but I would say call up to the prison and ask.

Well, I haven't been to visit yet, but here's what I have on JDCC from talking to the people there.
Pretty much the same as all over Ok.
No plain black, gray or white t shirts, no low cut stuff, no bare midriff, no spandex, no open toe shoes.
If you need to have a drop off ride (as I will have - Taxi) you have to pre arrange it with the assistant warden beforehand.
Just an FYI,

Everyone I was am upset. My husband was moved to L.C.F. on 10/11/06. When he arrived he mailed me and my mother-in-law new visitation forms to fill out. We filled them out and mailed them back in the next day in separate envelopes and from different post offices. Well I have been caling my husband's case manager to see if our visitation had been approved and everytime he was like 'No, have you mailed your form back in?" Like I am stupid enough to call and check if I have been approved without mailing the form back in. Anyways, so my mother in law called the visitation officier to check on them. She informs us she hasn't recieved them and he'll need to mail us a new form. This was a mistake but I decided to call the visitation officier back and she if she could fax me a new form since the other one had been "lost" she informed me it wasn't lost she had never received it and he'd have to mail it. You know I just wonder where do these people get off being so rude. I was as nice and as polite as I could be. I just felt like crying. I am just upset cause we haven't seen him since July and were hoping to visit the first of December. I guess I'll get over it and move forward...

CoCo...I'm so sorry your paperwork got "lost". I know how frustrating it is not only for the system to "lose" your stuff, but to be so darn rude about just about everything. It can make your spirit so low some days. It takes ridiculously long to get those papers approved. My man just got moved to a halfway...and he is a lot closer than he used to be, but I won't be able to visit cuz my car broke down and I just can't afford to fix it...and just convincing the new place no one could bring him the things he was allowed was a nightmare. I finally got hold of just a wonderful person who said girl just mail it in...he can have anything...and actually said she was so sorry none of the family would be able to visit....I was nearly speechless! So, anyway, it might be several months before I get to see the sweet face of my loved one. I can't imagine how lonely that must feel. I hope you get everything going and they get it right this time. Wishing you the best!
