Hello All,

I am new to this site and will be sentenced soon for a drug case. I may have to actually do 1 to 3 years, most likely at a prison camp. Do any of you know about post offense rehabilitation or extraordinary rehabilitation in regards to downward departure? Ive checked myself into drug diversion, NA meetings and a counselling center. Also, during my release I have completed my masters in business. Do you think any of this will help?

"During my release I've completed my masters'....
What? Been a long day and tossing around the word release is confusing me..... Release (in my brain at least) is something that occurs when the court/prison is done with you.

Is it perhaps that you've been out enjoying a bond or bail pending sentencing?

There is a Federal Forum here, where you might find the downward departure things having been fleshed out.
The Search Icon is uppermost right on the grey task bar under the PTO banner on every page. I know that in the Fed forum a newcomer has spoken quite highly of a company that put together a pitch for a reduced sentence. (Not to be confused with the State prison version of Sentence Reduction that can only be motioned for AFTER you've been given the sentence...) You might find that they can be helpful, or maybe they will be happy to see a potential customer.

There is also an introductions forum here where you might stop by and say Howdy.

The Master's thing is fabulous, high end of the Bell curve for people eating off trays. You'll find a full mix of folks inside, white collar, blue collar, wife beater T-shirt set too. Doing positive things for your life and future can only be of benefit to your cause. You might want to keep in mind that what thrills the court might not be so very well received by your fellow man on the block.

I meant released on bond. Excuse my mistake.
