Well it has been a year since my husband was convicted and sent to Ft. Leavenworth. It is amazing how some days it seems like yesterday but others it seems like a life time ago. I am still struggling to get the divorce final but hopefully it will be all done by Feb.
I have wrote him a letter that after the divorce is over I want to send him. I was never given the chance to say anything to him after he was arrested. I did ask JAG is I could have a few mins after he was conviced to speak to him but they would not allow that. In the letter I was very calm I did not cuss or make threats. I got over the bitter rage that I felt for the most part. Does anyone know if they will give it to him? I do not want to put my address on it he does not know where we are and for our safty that is for the best. Will that affect him getting it not having the address on it?
I do know that I have to put his prisoner number on it. Is there anything else I need to know?
Thanks for all your help.

All mail to inmates at the USDB is opened and scanned before it is delivered to the inmate. The content is not important. I've written a few scathing letters to my son and never had a problem with him getting them. As far as not putting your return address on it, I'm not sure. From what my son tells me, he can get mail from anyone (as long as it's not another inmate). Try it without the return address and if it comes back, you will know and your inmate will be none the wiser anyway! Good luck to you in your journey ahead. Sounds like you've been through some pretty rough times. Keep the faith.
