View Full Version : Gino proposed... now what?
Mary S. 06-24-2002, 10:39 AM Gino has been bringing up marriage indirectly since I saw him 3 weeks ago. I asked him to ditch the topic since he is just "fishing". Told him when he is ready to adequately cover the topic to bring it up then. I expected a respectful, "bow out gracefully" retreat on his part but instead he went full speed and proposed.
Can anyone give me an idea as to what the process is in NY? Gino is finding out but I'd like more input. I know I'm supposed to write to the warden; is that to state my intentions or request his permission? Any relevant feedback would be most appreciated.

soraya 06-25-2002, 01:53 AM I don't know anything neither, but congratulations. I think you can write the warden just to ask him what you are supposed to do when you want to get married, and what papers you will need, what the procedure is and all that?

CREAMYALMONDZ 06-25-2002, 08:28 AM First, congrads. I'm not sure how the system works in NY, call around and call the prison warden to see how it works. Also get Gino to talk to the counselor there.

Mary S. 06-25-2002, 09:33 AM thanks for all the interest and support, it means alot to me. Gino was able to tell me more last night. Wrote a letter to the superintendent stating my intentions and asking if the interview could be done while I'm there in Nov. Cross your fingers for me!
