hello Oseiyo my friend,
You are in good company now.PTO is a Godsend. I live about 3 hrs south of the Canadian border at osoyous,BC.
I have worked with the Colville Natives in the Okanogan Valley for about 20 years now. I know many people who are Okanogan from the U.S. side of the border. I have a few friends from Canada. You can say what you feel here without fear of judgement. I think most of us came here sad, confused and alone. This is my second home now, my family lives here on PTOand we have a great bunch of people with loving hearts.Being misunderstood is something we as Natives are all too familiar with. That is precisely why I choose to follow the Native ways even though I am part English too.
A great big hug and welcome to PTO. I was born south of Springfield, mo. pretty much on The Trail of Tears. I stayed on that trail for way too long when my husband was accused of a crime and sent to do time, that was the straw that broke the camel's back and I got mad, I did not let go of it til I came here and began to understand myself and our people better. I thank our Father everyday that He makes a way where there is no way and PTO is part of that way for me.
You will be lifted up above all this and see the sun shine again soon so be blessed. Love the Dove shalom shalom
