hey, I was wondering if anyone visits KVSP, In Delano,ca. :o




YES, I VISIT KVSP IN DELANO... EVERY OTHER WEEKEND..

How is visiting procedure nowaday? I am a first timer. Coming from San Diego...How early do I have to be there and what is the late visiting hour? Is it still bad as the previous posting?

I visit kvsp every weekend, A visiting is easy to get away with a lot of kissing and hugging, my man was on C yard for7 months they barely let you look at each other over there my man got upset with me for staring at the co estrada, I couldn't really help he looks so fine!!!

Im visiting KVSP this friday. i read that people start "lining up" around 4am outside prison grounds aprox. 1/2 mile away. i visited KVSP once b4 & i remember there being mostly just "road" for quite aways in both directions. i know that you cant park on the street, so where does the "line" start? im coming from anaheim, the drive is aprox. 3 hrs. does anyone have suggs. as to what a good time is to arrive AT the prison for a friday visit? also, the new KVSP website says that grey attire is not allowed, but as an example they showed "heather" grey. i was going to wear a long charcoal grey skirt. has anyone wore dark grey?

hey if u park on tht road or see u around tht prison grounds u will get a ticket... your not allowed to park ont tht road.. u need to get there at 630-700am... on friday i heard is lonely not alot of people goes.....

I thought you can park down the road by the grapevine yard off the prison grounds. Or have they changed that? I do know that you can not park where the flashing light is at, but if you go pass the prison you can park where the grapevines are at.

visiting wasnt too bad, processing does take awhile, especially when they are on lock down..i was just there this sunday on the 19th..and i got there at 8:30 and didnt get to see him until 11..it was nice it was crowded and i stayed til 230..i dont get to be all over him but in the beginning and at the end..we do our good share of hugging and kissing..

Well stop staring at him and make the move. What are you waiting for? I got first dibbs on the big guy! Dont know his name yet. Ohh and by the way I almost got kicked out of the visiting room for getting to close to my baby aint that a b&@#*!!!!

I did get kickedout, but appealed to warden, and get to visit when they get off lockdown.

What yards are together in each visiting room?

Each yard (A, B, C, D) have their own separate visiting rooms. My husband and I went down to visit our friend on a Saturday at the end of December/beginning of January. We arrived at like 10:45, were in the visiting room awaiting our friend by 11:45, but then had to wait an hour and a half for them to bring him to us because they said he's on close custody, which means he has to be counted a million times a day. Lesson learned! We now know to arrive either before 9:00 or after 12:00.

By the way, CO Estrada ain't nothing! Too chubby for my taste! ;) Besides, my husband's wonderful... :p

Oh, don't wear green sweaters that might be in the shades of brownish/khaki-ish green. My husband was made to take off his sweater because it *they said* it was similar in color to c.o.'s sweaters. It wasn't, unless you're freaking COLORBLIND. But you know how it is.

i just visited for the first time at KVSP this weekend and it went pretty smooth. My fiance is in E yard so there werent that many people maybe like 6 ladies including me. We got the whole visit until 2:30 and the co's werent really watching us they were in there office the majority of the time.

I kept hearing all these stories about how bad it was but i had no problems at all well excpet for the no flip flops and no green becasue i took a green skirt but other than that everything was ok.

i had my first visit this weekend too i went saturday and sunday. I thought it was gonna be alot worse and i was actually pleasnat (as pleasant as it can be) I was in D yard

my babys in A yard hows that visiting?

Every time I've gone to A Yard, it was a Saturday, and very very crowded with long waits. However, I've heard that Fridays and Sundays are another story. My husband and I are going this Friday to see our friend; I'll let you know how it goes, ok?

I've only visited once but it was at KVSP A yard and it was the Saturday of Memorial day weekend it wasn't too bad I expected alot worse. I'm going again this weekend on Friday and Saturday I'm just hoping that because it's Fathers day weekend it won't be to crowded.

On friday visits are the best... there just like 10-15 couple in the visiting room.. Iam talking about A yard..and ill be there tooo so who ever goes on friday i see you guys there...

Visiting today (Friday) rocked! My husband and I arrived at 7:45 and there were only like 10-15 cars there. We were in at exactly 8:00. We were in the A Yard visiting room at 8:30, but they didn't bring our friend out to us 'til 9:15. Still, it was SOOOOOOO quiet in there, only 6 families visiting. Even when we left at 11:30 or so, the room hadn't filled up. I think we could've stayed 'til visiting was over, except my husband had to get to work. And the best parts? 1) They hadn't run out of film, and 2) THE BATHROOMS WERE CLEAN! :D

A yard is on lockdown since yesterday something happen in yard... they didnt process the visiting until 900am. they had a meetting today the only thing they having coming is visiting...

so are they cancelling visits?

i visited again today. I definitely like fridays because there is absolutly NOONE there and i didnt have to worry about my visit getting termintated. I had the BEST visit today. We talked and talked soooooo good. OMG i LOVE HIM!!!!

Can U Sit There And Hold Him? Or Are They Strict There? Do U Think They Pay More Attention On A Friday Cuz No Ones There Than On Say A Sunday Cuz Its Packed??

you can dit next to him and hold his hand and touch his arm. Since today was only my third time, i havent felt comfortable doing anything but today i felt more relaxed and i rubbed his head and put my foot on his chair and put my legs between his and i was the first one there so i had table 1 which is right in the front where they come out of and line up for the bathroom. I am in D and yours is in A so i dont know how strict they are in different yards. I talk to the CO's the one who checks u in before you walk in the room and the guys behind the counter in the visiting room. I fell lucky to have good CO's. They are extremely friendly to me. I didnt want to do ANYTHING the forst two times because i heard so many stories and i might not be brave again liek i was today, i but i definitely will come up on Fridays because NO ONE is there. Tell me when you go and we can ride together. i gave you my number. I had someone from here go with me the first time and OMG she saved my life. I dont know what i would have done without her.... probably get lost!!!! Thanks Susan!!! So i want to return the favor and help you out.

Visiting in A Yard at KVSP is so strict. I once got my visit terminated for kissing during visit and believe me- it was not excessive (3 small kisses in a 2 hour period). Also for rubbing is head and back. The CO (the girl that's there on the weekends) is a big "B." I could not believe it, she is always starring too. And we sit side by side unlike other couples that sit in front of each other that are really touchy touchy, don't get kicked out. I guess it depends on your luck :(

Sat, May 19...I got there at 8:30 and visit was termitated at 10ish...That CO is weird and always starring....then after visit was terminated, i had to go talk to the lieutenant out in the visiting processing area.

Oh yeah, she didnt even give us a warning,too.

WOW how nice =[ Prison seems like such a fun place to be even for though of us arent even in there huh hahaha

I visited on A yard on Friday and Saturday. Friday there was no one there but Saturday was packed a couple of people got terminated Saturday but I had a whole visit so I had 2 days with my baby :D Only thing is I miss him sooooooooo much after I leave. Damn I love that man. I met some really nice people though waiting to be processed in. :)

How long has it been? Ask if next time he calls you if you have been approved. I'm going friday and i would say ride with me, but iam not going back i am going to see my mom after. If you want to wait i am going on the 30th and since we live so close you can meet me at my house i leave at 3:45 we can ride up there together. I wouldnt go up there without knowing but its up to you.
