I have a son who is presently in Staton Correctional for the last 4 years and I am now a college student. I am writing a research paper on about the way families of inmates are treated by the prison system and could use so input from other family members with inmates in Staton or other prisons. My son have been in the prison systems for 7 years old and I know how we are treated but I would love to hear about others experiences with their treatment, phone, cost, etc. Any help I would be thankful to have. :wave: Glad you found us...you may have trouble getting people to open up about their experiences in the prison system for fear of retaliation to our loved ones. I tend to have a big mouth and "we" have paid dearly for it.
So I'm going to stay out of this one, we have to much at stake.
But hopefully someone will come along and help you out with your research.

Hi, I just wanted to add that if you read thru the Alabama forum, you're likely to find tons of the kind of information you're looking for. And most universities these days will allow a website URL as a reference with papers, theses, etc.
