Hi! My husband is currently at FCI La Tuna Satellite Low. He has been there for about 2 months. I have been there to visit once. I live in another state, so I cannot visit often. Any info would be great? I can share what I know too to anyone who wants it!

Hello,
My husband isn't at the low (but should be at the camp) he is at the infamous FCI La Tuna....yes.... the original and one and only armpit of the BOP. I would love to meet up with anyone in this area.

I have a brother who write quite lengthy letters since becomming an inmate at FCI La Tuna Camp in March 06. He's finding a bit of humor will go a long way.

Learning the prison system from his point of view has been a trip. Always a bit of a class clown, he's inventing his own forms of entertainment joining in on "the tomato dash" at lunch, counting "hamburger days" (Wednesday when they serve hamburgers at lunch, and I get quite interesting descriptions of the guards (sorry, CO's).

He has developed his own vocabluary substituting the word dance for an "f" explitive. Such as "Eye dancing"--the act of staring at someone too long. Considered as an act of aggression or harassment. (ie. "Are you eye dancing with me boy?") Or pencil "dancing"--the act of cheating at a game wherin the score keeper writes an incorect score in favor of himself. If caught, the "dancer" might find himself considerably "danced.":)

I've read in many pto threads about what to send. I've sent any number of things and they all seem to go through--as long as they are paper. (books, jokes, calendars…)

Also of interest are the available "jobs". What a joke! How does one get off of "landscraping" duty and on to something productive??

Just like in the real world by networking. Get to know the guys on the detail you are interested in and they can give a heads up when a position is available. Turn in copouts to what ever dept. you might want to work in never hurts either. Most of the time you have to wait 90 days before trying to change jobs so tell him dont give up just keep trying to improve the job situation

Hello everyone.

My husband was just assigned to the FCI Low at La Tuna. He too should be in the camp but was desiganted to the FCI. There is not much information regarding this particular facility. If anyone out there can offer any kind of information regarding this facility, I would be gracious to you.

My husband was told this facility is located on Fort Bliss, Texas. Is this true? Anyone know about this????

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
