Just to let you know when I went up to visit my man at Pelican Bay I found the Best Value lnn (any taxi driver will know it) if you make them aware that you are visiting at the prison they do give you special rates on rooms.

The only time they don’t give the special rates is on public holidays but apart from then they do. They were so nice to me when I stayed.

The rooms are nice and clean, and they have a Jacuzzi there as well. It’s fairly close to stores etc I had no problem not being able to drive and it’s near to the beach.

To be honest Barbara I'm a total air head and forgotton but I think its about 15.00 dollars off the original rate but Im going to phone them soon so I will repost the exact amount. At the moment for a single queen bed its only 40.00 dollars and thats WITHOUT the discount.

I booked my room tonight for my trip.The owner was very,very nice and gave me the prison visitors discount which is $ 10.00 off a room.Very cool :)

Toi Ama, I managed to drive into Oregon with my brother in law, its beautiful!

How far into Oregon did you go? If you went up the coast to Florence and on from there, the coastline just takes your breath away it's so beautiful.

Toi, I'm in Cali and about 7 hours away from PB.4 sounds better :)Wish I had the time to explore Oregan while I'm up that way......
