I know holiday visits have been discussed before, but I was wondering if anyone knew what was going on for Veteran's Day this year at Medium Facilities, since it falls on a Saturday. While on a visit on Columbus Day my loved one and I asked how the day was going to be treated and the C.O. told us it would be a regular odd day. Well, I called the facility today and was told by a Sergeant that the day would be treated as a holiday. Does anyone have any other information or any suggestions on what to do? I was thinking about calling the facility again to see what kind of response I would get. I'll be able to visit either way, I just need to know whether or not I need to get up a couple of hours earlier to get there before the nyc buses.

I thought at all mediums you can only visit on both days if you wanted, that the odd letter of last name didn't apply. I'm not sure if this will help any but the school calender is observing Veterans Day on Fri the 10th. Actually that's a good question I'm going to visit my husband tomorrow and I'm going ask about Vets day.
