You might want to check out Mike's Better Shoes (www.mikesbettershoes.com) (http://www.mikesbettershoes.com%29). Also, Eastbay and Final Score have some nice sneakers for under $50.00.

get chummy with a store owner and get him to give you a register receipt for $50 ( no matter what you really pay for them. If you let the owner know what the deal is they will usually look out, its always worked for me.)

Lets keep in mind that there are many C.O.'s here so the tactics that are mentioned publicly can eventually be used against some people. In addition, many facilities check the sku/description on the receipt so in some cases if the sku/description on the receipt does not match they may not be allowed.
Good luck!

If the COs know the prices, then even if you get a receipt that says they're under $50.00, they won't get in.
The man's in prison - he doesn't get to be that picky. That's part of the lesson!

What about Ebay? You can often find new stuff on there for cheap. Not sure if printing out the email saying you won would count as a receipt though...

get a real receipt with a real price-for a real product--and if you plan to do something else, doing it and posting it here is not a good idea.
