I've only been there one time, and it depends on what yard he is on. Make sure to call before hand and check to see if you can visit or if he is on lock down. Depending on where he is and your ethnic orientation they tend to be on lock down a fair amount. #2 get there early, its an easy drive from Stockton, if your heading up there just pretty much follow the line of cars. It feels like you are out in the sticks, and you pretty much are so don't panic. I got there at 7:30. They start lining up early and you are given #'s then processed by those #'s. Look on the web site for allowable clothing, don't wear underwire bras, limit the metal on your pants etc, wear clothes you will be comfortable in, no blue jeans or blue or cambray shirts, also I would stay away from white shirts, tan/khaki, or olive green. Shirts/dresses have to have sleeves, and be too form fitting or low cut. Dresses/skirts/shorts have to be no higher than 2" above the knee. You will need a clear plastic bag, either a makeup bag or a ziplock works fine, and you can take in $30 in coins and $1 bills, your id, and 1 key. Leave everything else in the car. I always take a spare set of clothes just in case, or they have clothes there they will loan you. Relax and have a good time.

Before you are allowed to visit you must complete a CDC 106 form and send it to Jamestown for processing. Your hubby can request the form and mail it to you. Complete the form and mail it to this address:
SCC
5100 O'Byrnes Ferry Road
Jamestown, CA 95327
ATTN: Visiting Dept.
Once the form has been processed and approved they will notifiy your hubby and he will tell you. Now your ready to visit! Before your visit call this number 800-374-8474 to make sure they are not on lockdown.
A wireless bra is a must! I saw a girl who was told to cut the wires out of her bra before going through the metal detector. There is a hospitality house that you will be in as you wait for your number to be called. They keep extra clothes in there just in case. There is a really nice lady that goes around and makes sure that everyone is dressed appropriatley. They also had pie and coffee for everyone. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. They will not allow you to line up before 7:30 in the morning.
Good Luck
