CENTRAL PHOENIX - The Phoenix Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association hosts a talk with Warden Bernie Ellis at the group's monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Burton Barr Library.

Ellis, who has been the warden at the Federal Correctional
Institution in north Phoenix since 2001, will give the
presentation "The United States Federal Prison System."

In the talk, Ellis will discuss current trends, an overview of the
Bureau of Prisons and the mission and program at the Phoenix facility, which houses more than 1,500 prisoners.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
