need information on alderson wva. are the inmates allowed to smoke? i am sentenced in january i live in iowa how will i be transported there? is there a 500 hour drug class that will cut time from my sentence?

Do an advanced search on the federal forum for Alderson, or just search this forum for info. If you are self surrendering you are responsible for arriving at the facility on time. If you dont have family that can drive you then flying or the bus is the best option. When you arrive at Alderson you can be interviewed for RDAP and if drug use is verified in your PSI then you have a chance of getting approved. No smoking, so might want to work on that before surrendering. Lots of good advice on the forums just remember that it is not as bad as the books and movies make prison to be. Especially in a camp most people just want to do their time and go home.
