Hi Everyone,
Just been reading the Sept Newsletter on the ADOC website and it said that MSNBC had been filming at Holman and that the tentative date for the showing of the programme called Lockup would be 30th October.

I am almost certain that it was only general population that they filmed in as they were not allowed to enter death row.

I have been waiting for this to Air.... My loved one, and also a friend of mine and her friend was interviewed.
So i know it wasn't JUST in population... my Loved one is in SEG... and the other person i know of, was on DR( but has now been taken off)
Thanks Lisa for the info.. I hope they Air it , but Also hope they don't butcher it up too bad!
They wanted to do a second interview... but last i heard, Culliver the warden, wouldn't let them back in to do it<shrug> so guess we will see.
Thanks again Lisa!!
Hope your visit goes well in Nov.

Hi this is what I found on the latest ADOC newsletter
Holman Correctional Facility will
be featured in an MSNBC episode of
the series LOCKUP as noted in this
release:
44 Blue Productions has been
commissioned by MSNBC again to
produce the acclaimed and highly
rated series LOCKUP, focusing once
more on accurately depicting life
behind bars. Besides the LOCKUP
series, 44 Blue Productions has also
produced a number of shows over the
years focusing on life inside America’s
prisons, including A&E’s Behind Bars.
The current MSNBC series will look
at life inside some of America’s most
recognizable prisons including revisiting
and updating several facilities profiled
previously as well as filming a new
selection of locations.
ADOC has approved LOCKUP to
include Holman Correctional Facility in
their current series.
MSNBC’s LOCKUP is considered
one of the definitive prison documentary
series on TV. Through discussions
with MSNBC, ADOC is expecting this
one hour show to heighten public
awareness regarding the commendable
job the facility and all of ADOC does in
exceeding the challenges or our jobs.
The filming was done over a twoweek
period in June and the tentative
air date of the episode is Oct. 30.
Holman also hosted another film
crew during August. Shelly Stewart
and members of his company O2 were
at Holman filming on August 10. They
filmed interviews with several inmates
to be used to create a public service
announcement designed to encourage
young people to stay in school and out
of prison.

i also read the news letter and i watch MSNBC all that day just incase the show was aired.... I did not see it, It was not aired on the day the ADOC printed. My hubby is on DR at Holman and he told me about this show, he did tell me that they interviewed a few DR inmates, and also filmed some of the rec time while the inmates were playing b-ball.

Yeah!!!!!!! I haven't yet seen the commercial saying new shows were comen up in December... but they sure need to be.
Bobby was told by a officer he had say his "tv. debut" he thought they had aired it and i had missed it. haha.. but the prison was sent a copy of the show that WILL air... so lets keep a eye out in December!!!

Yeah.. merry christmas to us!!!
How many are going to record it when it comes on? I know i will hahaha
I'll know it word for word ... i just hope that they don't cut of the interview toooooo bad... they could, but maybe they wont!
