View Full Version : No "papers." How will she get in to visit at Calipatria? stretchnme 10-18-2006, 10:04 AM my husbands aunt wants to go visit him. the problem is she does not have "papers" so we don't know what SSN to put down on the form. Dishonesty will lead to a rejected application. Until she has a legal social security number I would advise holding off on turning in a visiting application to the CDC. jdcjmc1 10-20-2006, 11:32 PM She does not have to put a social security number. Right on the cdc106 form it says the social security number is voluntary. I'll correct myself. the one i filled out a month ago and all previous said it was voluntary. If a social security number isn't necessary than I suppose it wouldn't be considered false information if one wasn't put on the application at all. Either way, honesty is the best policy. PT ROSE 10-21-2006, 12:59 AM I have a visiting form, it says: In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 (PL93-579), providing your Social Security number is optional. However, any omission or falsification on this questionnaire may be cause for denial of visiting. jdcjmc1 10-21-2006, 04:33 PM All she can do is try it. She obviously doesn't have a social but if she doesn;t put it all they can do is dent it. Can't get a fake one because that is definitely grounds for denying. If i remember correctly on my last pen pals i did not write my social and i was approved but i have bene approved for other prisons so i am nto sure if that makes a difference. TheGeneralsWife 10-24-2006, 12:55 PM She doesn't need to list her SSN, however they do ask for her ID or CDL which, last time I checked, required a ssn to obtain one. A valid passport or Mexican consulate ID is acceptable ID to get in. Fill out the form minus the SSN and include copies of her ID or resident alien status to help the process. I mean the worse they can say is no. |
