I visited Maplehurst in Milton years ago... it's a provincial jail and they have their visits in an open room with couches. You do not need to fill out a visiting application as it's a provincial jail.

If you don't drive there are buses that will take you there.

My hubby is currently there. He is in the PC unit awaiting transfer. The visitng hours vary from one unit to the next, but just call to get the hours. Get there a half hour before the visitation begins....especially in the evening. It is fairly busy, so when you go in you have to take a number and wait to be called. Took me 25 minutes one night before they called my number. Make sure when you go though you have 2 pieces of ID, one has to be a gov't issued photo ID, you cant bring purses or bags in, no cellphones, hats, jackets etc. So make sure all you have is your ID, anything else and they wont let you in.

I want to know what it's like in Maplehurst too. My man was sent there just last Friday. I haven't heard from him yet. Can I phone him?
